Max Battles (Oct. 1 – Nov. 1)
- Grookey
- Scorbunny
- Sobble
- Falinks
If you’re just starting in Pokémon Go, it’s best to begin with the lower-tier Raids if available. It’s also possible to encounter Shiny variants, but their chances of spawning are fairly low.
You’ll typically need a team to last longer in the Raids, especially for the more formidable fights. On the other hand, trainers do have the choice to try out solo in the One to Three Star ranks. Then, once you get to higher tiers, such as Five Stars and Mega, you should opt in for a group.
Some Raid Pokémon are exclusive to specific regions, especially when special events are going on. Remote Raid Passes are available for those who want to access these unique types anywhere in the world.
You’ll also get the chance to try out the newest Max Battles featuring the Dynamax Pokémon from Sword and Shield. They are basically the same thing as Raids but with the extra challenge of enlarging a Pokémon’s size. Plus, Max Battles feature a time limit, so you’ll need to wait until it’s active.
Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble are the newest additions to the Max Battles, linking to the One-Star challenges. Plus, Falinks will be a part of the crew in the Three-Star Max Battles. Check out our guide on Max Moves and the Dynamax Band for extra pointers on this challenge.
In addition to Raids and Max Battles, you can look forward to a few other events that will bring out more Pokémon in the wilds:

We still have yet to cover two mystery events teased in the content update. Considering their time frames, they’ll be involved with the Halloween season, but we’ll need to wait until Niantic unveils more information.
Other events, like the October Community Day, are much more time-restrictive, so you must tune in before the day concludes. You can also look forward to bonuses while it’s active, from an increased Stardust intake to longer Lure Module durations.
