Pets Go codes for release (October 2024)

Pets Go codes are unlikely to see the light of day without the usual Big Games merchandise run, but we’ll be keeping an eye out for freebies at launch regardless.

Pets Go, known as Pet RNG just hours before its release, is a spin-off of the Pet Simulator series of Roblox experiences. New Pets Go codes are likely to be tied to merch sales like previous entries, but you never know.

How to use Pets Go codes

Using past games in the series, though, we can make an educated guess and say you can redeem Pets Go codes by launching Pets Go and heading into the in-game Shop menu.

There, look for a text box at the bottom of the window or a Codes tab somewhere along the top.

Until Pets Go releases, we won’t know exactly where to redeem any codes that may drop. If it switches things up, redeeming codes might be done in one of the following ways:

• Via a code box that appears when you tap a Twitter or present icon button.
• Through the settings screen.
• At a specific NPC with ‘Codes’ above them.
• On the game boot screen.
• With a /command in the chat box.
• In a menu accessed through a button in the top-left.

Of course, we’ll update this part of the guide with a step-by-step approach when the game releases.

How to get more Pets Go codes

Though there’s no direct confirmation, we suspect Pets Go codes will come from official merch sales only.

Previous titles in Big Games’ signature Pet series has offered exclusive codes through merchandise sales around the world, with toy stores and supermarkets often stocking branded lucky boxes and playsets. These would often reward random rare pets of varied sizes.

Limited-run Plushie sales on the Big Games website also often come with codes that would unlock the same pet in-game.

Pets GO launches on Friday, October 11 at 5pm BST. That’s 9am PST or 12pm EST in the US.

Is Pet RNG like Pet Simulator 99/X?

Pets Go is a spin-off of Pet Simulator, Pet Simulator X, and Pet Simulator 99 by Big Games.

It uses the RNG mechanic of recent Roblox hits as opposed to the manual egg-hatching gameplay loop of previous games. Though details are still scarce, the game page outlines the gameplay loop as “roll the dice, collect pets, buy upgrades!”

While updates for other Pet Simulator games will continue, the Pet Simulator 99 Halloween update is being pushed back briefly to “let Pet RNG [Pets Go] breathe.

How to see your pets in Pets Go

You need to unlock the Inventory upgrade to see which pets you’ve unlocked in Pets Go. The further you go in the upgrade tree, the more of the full UI you’ll uncover. It should be your forth upgrade. Just keep hatching eggs.
