Nintendo’s latest Xenoblade Chronicles X remaster trailer confirms bonus DLC pack

Nintendo has released a new trailer for its Xenoblade Chronicles X remaster for Nintendo Switch, and confirmed a bonus DLC pack for specific versions.

As previously announced, Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition will release for Switch on March 20, 2025, featuring enhanced visuals, added story elements and more, according to the platform holder.

Originally released in 2015 and developed by Monolith Soft, Xenoblade Chronicles X is the second game in the Xenoblade Chronicles series. It was succeeded by two Switch games, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 in 2017 and Xenoblade Chronicles 3 in 2022.

Players who purchase the digital version of Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on the Nintendo eShop or My Nintendo Store before April 6 will receive the in-game “Exploration Support Pack”, Nintendo said on Thursday.

Additionally, those who purchase the physical or digital versions from GameStop in the US will also receive a code for the pack.

The Exploration Support Pack contains the following bonus items:

  • 100,000 credits
  • Melee weapon: Advanced Iron Knife
  • Ranged weapon: Advanced Storm Assault Rifle
  • Survival armor series: Survival Goggles, Survival Bodywear, Survival Glove R, Survival Glove L, Survival Footwear
  • Six weapon augments: Melee Accuracy Up I, Ranged Accuracy Up I, Melee Attack Up I, Ranged Attack Up I, Theroid Slayer I, Secondary CD Reducer I
  • Five armor augments: Max HP Up I, Max TP Up I, Evasion Up I, Potential Up I, Physical Resistance Up I

“Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition features your character at the center of the action in a standalone sci-fi story,” reads a synopsis for the game.

“There is even more to discover in this definitive version of the game. Just who is the mysterious hooded figure on the beach? You’ll have to stay tuned to learn more…”
