Nintendo has revealed more details on its upcoming paid version of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.

The company announced back in August that the free-to-play mobile game Pocket Camp would be ending on November 29, seven years after it initially launched.

Now it has announced that its successor, which will be titled Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete, will be released on December 3.

The new app will cost $19.99, but will have an introductory price of $9.99 / £8.99 until January 31.

Pocket Camp Complete will feature almost everything included in the free-to-play version, with some exceptions.

Players will be able to transfer their save data by linking their existing Pocket Camp game data with a Nintendo Account, then logging into Pocket Camp Complete with the same account.

This will carry over their player level, Bells balance, animal friendship levels, furniture, crafting items, outfits and the layouts of their campsite, cabin and camper van.

Players will no longer be able to link Pocket Camp with their Nintendo Account after the app ends on November 29, so players have to link their account before then if they haven’t already.

Features that will no longer be available in Pocket Camp Complete include the Leaf Tickets premium currency, the monthly paid Pocket Camp Club subscription or the ability to play with friends online.

These will be replaced with new features, such as Leaf Tokens (which can be earned in-game), Camper Cards which can be traded with other players via QR codes, and some features that were part of the Pocket Camp Club, such as walking around with a chosen animal.

Events that have previously been held in the free-to-play version will be repeated again in Pocket Camp Complete over a four-year cycle, enabling players to obtain items and animals they may have missed in the past.

New events and items will also continue to be added to the game until at least September 2025.

A new Complete Item Catalogue feature will also be added, showing every item in the game. Players will be able to earn Complete Tickets, which can be used to obtain these items, even time-sensitive ones that are no longer available or would otherwise require the player to wait for an event.

The free-to-play version will receive an event called The Last Event, which adds “in-game gifts, friend gifts and a special memory for everyone who plays until the final day”.
