Blacklist International is one of the newer teams that entered the Dota 2 competitive landscape, and are now considered one of the stronger teams in Southeast Asia (SEA).
The team won three out of five series in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) SEA 2023 Tour 3: Division I so far, losing only to Talon Esports and XERXIA.
After the team’s dominant victory against SMG, the carry player, Marc “Raven” Fausto was present for a post-match interview where he spoke about their loss against XERXIA and other things.
Blacklist International is one of the stronger Dota 2 teams in Southeast Asia (SEA) and is currently competing in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) SEA 2023 Tour 3: Division I. The team finds itself in the midst of intense competition, facing strong opponents such as SMG and Talon Esports. Blacklist International has had a good run so far, securing victories in three out of five series, showcasing their prowess on the battlefield. However, a surprising loss to the relatively new team XERXIA has left fans and analysts curious about the team's dynamics. Recently, during a post-match interview, Marc "Raven" Fausto, the carry player for Blacklist International, shared his thoughts on the team's loss to XERXIA, which came as a surprise to fans.
Raven dumbfounded at their loss
In the post-match interview, Raven also seems to be perplexed about their loss against XERIXA, where he says he does not know what happened and it felt like XERXIA suddenly became the best team in the world.
“I dont know also. It’s like XERXIA suddenly became the best in the world you know? We want to go on the offlane but we cannot kill him at all. They keep reading our moves and I dont know what happened,” he said.
Current meta and offlane builds
Raven also spoke about the current meta in the patch about offlane heroes building Vanguard into Octarine in many games. He expresses his helplessness in the current patch as a carry player when most offlane heroes seem to have the same build and said that you have to leave your lane.
“To deal with this? You cannot deal with this. You cannot do anything, you’re just gonna cry. You’re gonna leave the lane, and maybe your offlane will also buy Octarine also, you just gotta deal with it,” he added.
Facing off against Bleed Esports
Toward the end of the interview, Raven also stated what he thinks about Bleed Esports, which will be their next opponent in the DPC SEA 2023 Tour 3: Division I. He believes that Bleed Esports are one of the better teams, stating “I think Bleed right now is very good, so, we’re just gonna be ready,”.
Blacklist International is off to a good start at the DPC SEA 2023 Tour 3: Division I, where they have won a majority of their series. The team currently stands 3rd in the standings, just below Bleed Esports and Talon Esports. Raven’s insights show that even he and his teammates were perplexed at their loss to XERXIA, however, it shows their confidence to win in the future as well. Moving forward, the team will have to continue winning their next few series in order to secure a Top 3 finish and an invite to the Bali Major 2023, which will be the last major before The International 12.
