Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake Is Reportedly Launching In 2024

Konami is planning to release the long-rumored Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake in 2024, according to gaming journalist Andy Robinson.

The remake of 2004’s critically acclaimed stealth prequel, which takes place in the 1960s and focuses on Big Boss, was originally rumored back in 2021, with Robinson claiming the game will be developed by Virtuous Studios.

Indeed, this was backed up by an employee at Virtuous that claimed the company was working on an ‘unannounced triple-A remake,’ which is befitting of Metal Gear Solid 3. Nothing official has been announced yet, but Konami is reportedly set to lift the veil on its plans for the series and Castlevania at E3 2023.

Robinson also added that there’s still chatter on re-releases of past Metal Gear Solid games, so it sounds like the rumored Metal Gear Solid remake isn’t on the cards or is still being kept heavily under wraps.

MGS3 remake is now a 2024 title and there's still talk of MGS re-releases of some kind. E3 window was their marketing plan, last I heard. https://t.co/Euaw3iEdrN
