After details on the next coming Gran Turismo 7 update were published early yesterday, we now have confirmation from Polyphony Digital and through a new PlayStation Blog post that update 1.31 brings 120FPS support on PS5, and more.

Five new cars are being added, the Audi RS 5 Turbo DTM 2019, the Porsche 959 1987, Porsche Carrera GTS (904) 1964, the Toyota Alphard Executive Lounge 2018, and the Mazda3 X Burgundy Selection 2019.

There will also be two new layouts for Nürburgring, one called the “Endurance” layout, and the “Sprint” layout. A new scapes location has been added as well, bringing players to the cherry blossoms of Minami-Izu, in Japan.

A new trailer was also released alongside the update announcement, showing off each new vehicle and the new Nürburgring layouts.

You can check out the trailer for yourself, here.

Yesterday’s leak mentioned that VRR support was to be added in this update, though that isn’t mentioned anywhere on the Gran Turismo website or in the PlayStation Blog post.

It could just be an error based on the machine translation that was used to translate yesterday’s accidental early upload, or it has just been quietly included as part of support for a 120FPS mode.
