That being said, if you are trying to get the most XP you can in Chapter 4, then we’ve got you covered with the best ways to do so in this XP Guide. So, let’s not waste any more time, and dive into this Fortnite XP Guide so you can make the most out of each season in Chapter 4.

5. This is Important to Note

XP Guide

Epic Games has introduced some big changes to weekly challenges this time around in Chapter 4. That is, weekly challenges will now expire at the end of the week. In previous chapters, weekly challenges wouldn’t expire until the end of a season, allowing you to work on them two or three weeks down the line. Sadly, that’s a luxury Fortnite players no longer have. As a result, you’ll have to stay on top of weekly challenges so you can reap the most XP possible from them. Because if you hit the snooze button and fall behind, you’ll be missing out on the XP you want so badly.

So tip number one, among all others in this XP Guide, is to stay on top of your weekly challenges. These challenges are one of the best and easiest ways to get extra XP in every season. As a result, it’s now direr than ever to capitalize on each week’s challenges. We’ve got more details on them just below, so be sure to read on to know when they reset, and how much XP you can get from them.

Aside from that, it’s also good to note the XP cap for players in Chapter 4 sit’s at 600,000 XP per day. To be honest, this is an insane amount that you’ll most likely never hit. However, you might if you’re putting in a whole day shift. Nonetheless, it’s worth noting that you won’t be rewarded any more XP past this threshold. So, if you do happen to hit it, best save your playtime for when playing matches will actually net you XP.

4. Daily and Weekly Challenges

XP Guide

Completing the daily and weekly challenges is by far the easiest way to gain XP in every Fortnite season. The good news about weekly challenges is that they aren’t all that difficult to complete. Most of the time, you can complete all seven in an efficient session. At the same time, if you only log on two or three times per week and play for a couple of hours, you should still easily be able to cross all seven off your checklist.

The most important thing to note is that weekly challenges reset every Thursday at 15:00 CEST / 09:00 EST. There are seven each week, so essentially you could chip away at one each day. However, the sooner you can get them done, the better. The amount of XP awarded in each week’s set of challenges varies depending on the challenge, but the total amount sum is almost never less than 100,000.

Your next best friend for getting XP is daily challenges. These are typically very simple challenges that you earn passively by playing. They are often like, “Heal 200 points of health in a single match”. These can stack up to a total of three a day and can earn you a total of 48,000 XP, which is a good chunk. So, it’s always good to keep the daily challenges in mind, as they are a great way to get some extra XP. So, to conclude this part of the XP guide – always cash in on the daily and weekly challenges as it’s easy XP.

3. Making the Most of Milestones

Every new Fortnite season brings a new set of 10 Milestones. These are typically long-term challenges that you gradually work towards as you play over the course of a season, which can last anywhere from two to three months. Milestones are another easy way to get XP because you earn 6,000 XP every time you hit a new stage in a milestone. This eventually stacks up for A LOT by the end of a season.

For example, one of the Milestones in Chapter 4 Season 1 is to “Damage Opponents”. You must deal a whopping 22,500 damage to reach stage 5 of this Milestone. Every time you reach a new stage on this Milestone, such as 5,000 or 10,000 damage, you will receive 6,000 XP as a reward, until you have maxed out the Milestone’s stages and all the XP you can get from it. As a result, we recommend you keep track of your seasons’ Milestones, so you can slowly chip away at them in matches.

2. Themed Seasonal Challenges

In this XP guide, we highlighted the importance of getting XP through daily and weekly challenges. While these are arguably the best and easiest ways to earn XP, the themed season challenges are also effective. Every new Fortnite season has a story and a set of challenges that revolve around and contribute to telling and unfolding its narrative. In Chapter 4, these are called the “Oathbound Challenges”.

Each challenge in the story is worth 20,000 XP, with the final one worth a whopping 100,000 XP. These challenges, however, are not easy and typically require you to devote an entire match to solving and completing them. So, while they are more difficult, they are worth the extra effort if you have exhausted all your daily and weekly challenges.

1. Performance XP

XP Guide

Although we’ve outlined the most effective ways to get XP in this guide, you’ll always do yourself a favor by getting kills and winning matches. That’s because the more damage you deal to other players, the further you make it in matches, and the more matches you win, the more XP you’ll receive in return. If you’re not dishing out any damage in matches and coming out with poor results, it’s hard to get XP for your performance. So, always try to do your best in matches, because the better you perform the more XP you get as a result.
