Fortnite: Best Landing Spots & Locations (Chapter 4)

1 year ago 206

A new chapter in Fortnite usually sparks a lot of excitement from the fanbase, thanks in large part to the map changes. And, if you’ve spent any time in Chapter 4 already, you’ll know just how much the map has changed. There are a number of new locations to pique players’ interest. While all these new locations may look enticing, some might not be the best landing spots for you and you’re a squad. In actuality, some pose more of a risk than a reward to land at. As a result, if you’re going for a victory royale, you’ll want to set your team up for success by landing in the best spots in Chapter 4.

Dropping from the battle bus will always differ among squads and their playstyles. Essentially, where you drop always set’s sets the tone for a great or dreadful game. Furthermore, it can be the difference maker between playing for hours on end or not even a full 60 minutes. Regardless of you’re playstyle and the type of match you’re aspiring for, these five landing spots are deemed the best of Chapter 4. So, read on to find out where they are.

5. Lonely Labs

Best landing spots

Sitting in the top right corner, our first pick for the best landing spots in Chapter 4 is Lonely Labs. We know it may not look like it offers much, however, teams that land at Lonely Labs frequently find themselves in the late game. The main reason for this is that, depending on the Battle Bus flight path, not many teams drop here. And you’ll almost always be the only squad there. Additionally, If you’re playing solo, you’ll only have another player or two to compete with.

The only disadvantage is how remote it is. As a result, you’ll have to gather weapons and supplies quickly and hastily make your way to the first storm circle. However, there are a lot of places you can also hit on your journey. Plus, this often works in your favor because you can sneak up on teams who believe they are the last ones on the circle’s edge.

4. Frenzy Fields

Best landing spots

Frenzy Fields may appear strangely familiar to players who were present during Fortnite Chapter 2. That’s because this new location is nearly identical to the old Frenzy Farms from Chapter 2, which was a well-known and beloved location in the community at the time. And, just like its older brother, Frenzy Fields has quickly gained attraction as one of the best landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 4.

Frenzy Fields features tons of supplies, floor loot, and even dirt bikes if you’re looking to make a quick getaway. Which you may need to do because sometimes this new POI can be a hot spot of a drop. Regardless, it’s worth the risk because Frenzy Feilds never fails to deliver on loot. There are also two Weapon-o-matics and an upgrade bench here. So, of all places you’re going to drop for early-game action, Frenzy Fields is the one we feel is worth the risk-to-reward ratio.

3. Anvil Square

best landing spots

Anvil Square is one of the new medieval towns as part of the Chapter 4 theme, and we think it’s one of the best landing spots; not just because we feel like we’re in old-school Runescape here. Instead, it’s more largely due to the amount of cover and variety of angles at your disposal. There always seems to be an escape route or place to reposition in Anvil Square because of how tightly packed the buildings are. On top of that, Anvil Square is conveniently located in the central part of the map. As a result, it set’s you up for just about any storm circle. Moreover, you can take your time looting and fighting without feeling rushed to move on to the next phase of the circle.

2. Faulty Splits

If you want the best of both worlds, you can’t go wrong with Faulty Splits. This location is a mix of medieval houses, with an urban shopping district. Both of which combine for over 50 chests, not to mention the floor loot kicking around. So you can bet you’ll be gearing up in Faulty Splits. Consequently, this also makes it one of the best landing spots for squads.

On that note, keep in mind Faulty Splits is pretty spread out. So, you’ll want to avoid being spread out if your squad lands here. It’s best if you choose a corner of the town, or take control of a house or building because you can easily get caught in rotation. And, don’t worry, there’s plenty of loot for you and a friend; just don’t expect to find it all in one house, unless you go to the main grocery store.

1. The Citadel

The highlight landing spot for many players in Chapter 4 of Fortnite is none other than the Citadel. Certainly a stand-out POI this season and reasonably justified. The Citadel is quite literally a huge castle, with a giant moat circling it. So, due to the high ground, it makes perfect sense why players want to take control of this location.

We will say though because this is one of the best landing spots in Chapter 4, the Citadel is often pretty hectic. The bridge is quite chaotic as it is pictured above. So, just keep in mind if you want the best landing spot, with the best loot, you’re going to fight for it.
