Fornite introduces new Academy Champions outfit set with millions of customization options

It’s a great time to be a Fortnite player thanks to the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse collab event and the June 2023 Crew Pack that just went live. With Season 3 on the horizon as well, it’s currently crunch time in the battle royale. Players can prepare to enter the new season in style as the Academy Champions set is now available in the Item Shop.

Epic Games has just released the Academy Champions Set in Fortnite, one of the most customizable outfit sets yet. There are ten different skins, with over a whopping 500 million possible style combinations between them. Players decide the look from head to toe, meaning the same outfit may look completely different from another one based on how it’s customized.

Typically, when a new skin lands in the Item Shop, a bunch of people pick it up, and the matches are flooded with identical-looking players. This set lowers that probability as players will be responsible for choosing clothing options for the upper and lower body, and the shoes. On top of that, the colours of eyes, hair, and clothes are also changeable, with certain shading options as well.

Players really can fine-tune these outfits the way they like. The two skins are Sakura Star Academy and Honor Bound Academy, which are the base versions that must be customized. Of course, these outfits are incomplete without accessories and those will require a few more Vbucks from your end.

The 8-bit Champions Back Bling is also in the shop. And guess what? Comes with its own customization options. It features pixelated versions of the Academy Champions, which can be tailored themselves. They’re also reactive and light up on getting eliminations, healing, emoting, and opening chests.

Finally, there’s also the Scholar Claws Pickaxe with two colour options and three shaders for them alongside the Banner Bearer Wrap, which will match the colour of your banner.
