Best Tempus Torrent build in MW2 and Warzone 2

The new Tempus Torrent DMR has quickly become a popular choice. Its low recoil and high damage at all ranges make it arguably the best overall marksman rifle. It is the go-to pick for players looking to use something a little more precise than your average assault rifle. Here’s our guide on the best Tempus Torrent build in Warzone 2 and MW2.

• Muzzle: Sakin Tread-40
• Laser: FSS OLE-V Laser
• Optic: Aim OP-V4
• Ammunition: 7.62 High Velocity
• Magazine: 30 Round Mag

The above setup primarily looks to improve the Tempus Torrent’s consistency at long range. The combination of the 7.62 High Velocity ammunition and Sakin Tread-40 muzzle makes it easy to land shots from over 100 meters. Your choice of optic is a personal preference, but the Aim OP-V4 is the best all-purpose sight.

Some Warzone players may consider using the 50 Round Drum magazine attachment, but on a semi-automatic weapon like the Tempus Torrent, it’s probably overkill. The extra 20 rounds are nice, but it comes with a hefty penalty to weapon handling that makes the build less versatile. Finally, the FSS OLE-V Laser speeds up our ADS. For multiplayer, it can be worth partnering the laser with the Phantom Grip rear grip attachment for optimal handling.

Players using overkill should instead pair the Tempus Torrent with a good close-range SMG like the Lachmann Sub or Vaznev-9k.

Your choice of equipment is going to be game mode dependent. On MW2′s multiplayer, the Tempus Torrent is best paired with a flash grenade and semtex to make pushing other players easier. However, in Warzone, the value of a Smoke Grenade cannot be overstated to escape and rotate out of dangerous positions. For lethal, the Throwing Knife is useful for quickly finishing off downed players.

Bomb Squad is the best overall Basic Perk, as it directly impacts your chances of surviving. The other Basic Perk is interchangeable with Battle Hardened reducing the impact of Flash Grenades and Overkill, letting you use a close-range SMG that compliments the Tempus Torrent. High Alert is realistically the only worthwhile Ultimate Perk, as the Tempus Torrent’s loud gunfire will largely negate any benefit given by Ghost.

• Field Upgrade: Dead Silence or Trophy System

In most cases, Dead Silence and the Trophy System are the only Field Upgrades worth using. Dead Silence is great for moving around the map without enemies being able to hear you coming. Players who prefer a slower playstyle should instead run a Trophy System, which, alongside Bomb Squad, makes enemy equipment far less effective.
