5. Grim Grimoire OnceMore
Starting off our list with a magical entry, we have the remaster of the original Grim Grimoire game. This time around, however, the game will benefit from not only technological advancements. But also many mechanical changes that seek to improve the gameplay experience as a whole. For fans of the RPG genre, this is a very exciting title, as it would appear that it will be made with the same care and attention to detail as the original. This RTS game has a ton more to offer players. Whether they be new or old, it is very exciting to see the game nearing release.
Slated for release on April 4th, 2023, we don’t have too much longer to wait to get our hands on the game itself. The story elements of the game seem to reflect a polish that has been worked on over the years. Being a remaster, this game also benefits from the lessons learned in the original version of the game, along with more mechanics and nuances to its gameplay. For example, players will be able to utilize type advantages to overwhelm their opponents greatly. All in all, this is one of the more exciting PlayStation 5 titles set to release in April 2023.
4. Meet Your Maker
Switching directions quite a bit, we have a game that is gritty, rather gory, but also a ton of fun. Meet Your Maker is a game that looks to utilize the player’s creativity to the utmost. There are quite a few interesting aspects to the game as well that support this. For example, players will be able to make their own maps and areas in which to control. This, in turn, will leave other players to attack them s they defend their Outposts.
Players will be able to attack other players’ Outposts in raid-style gameplay. What makes Meet Your Maker unique in this aspect is the fact that the game will switch perspectives. First-person view will be given to players who are raiding Outposts. So naturally, players will be able to customize their load-outs to bring the appropriate tools for the job. This is an exceedingly interesting title due to its approach to not only multiplayer gameplay but strategy as well. So if you are looking for a title to whet your appetite on the PlayStation 5 in April 2023, then this is a great choice.
3. Minecraft Legends
Next on our list, and in stark contrast to your last entry, we have Minecraft Legends. This game, which seeks to expand upon and utilize the massive Minecraft universe, takes on a bit more of a strategy and action focus. Players can engage in combat with one another or tackle obstacles together as one. Players will be able to build massive bases and launch massive attacks in order to thwart the Piglin threat. This will be no small feat either and will require the player’s full attention.
If you have enjoyed Minecraft in the past, then this game is a must-have. As it serves to not only innovate the gameplay on offer in a Minecraft game but launch it in a brave new direction. There are quite a few new loot mechanics as well, which are exciting to see. Overall, if you enjoy the base Minecraft experience but simply wish there were more adventure elements, then Minecraft Legends is for you. So definitely be on the lookout for this game when it releases on April 18th, 2023.
2. Dead Island 2
Dead Island 2 is the long-awaited sequel to the cult classic game Dead Island. In it, players will have to contend with various Infected in order to survive. There are a number of new mechanics in the game that hopes to improve the base gameplay. For example, a ton of the weapons systems have been overhauled, featuring new animations and other aspects to improve the overall feel of the game. The environmental design also appears to have been spruced up significantly as well. For long-time fans of the series, these improvements over the core gameplay are sure to leave quite the impression.
If the developer’s attention to detail regarding the weapon systems bares any fruit, players are in for quite a treat. On top of this, there is a great deal of adaptability within the RPG mechanics of the game. Simply put, this will allow players to build their characters however they wish. 1. Star Wars Jedi: Survivor
For fans of the massively popular Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the next leg of Cal Kestis’ journey is soon upon us. Players will soon be able to benefit from the hard work of the developers and have what is potentially a Game of the Year contender on their hands. This time around, however, there will be many new systems implemented in order to improve the player experience significantly. These improvements include but aren’t limited to, the combat systems in the game, as well as RPG mechanics.
These inclusions are sure to go a long way in terms of making the game feel as visceral as possible. Both the story and the gameplay of the first game were stellar, so it will be interesting to see how the studio follows it up. It also appears that the players will be able to explore quite a bit more than in the previous game as well. This is great as the world of Star Wars is one that is simply begging to be explored by the players, so if you are looking forward to Star Wars Jedi: Survivor as much as we are, be prepared when it releases on PlayStation 5 on April 28th, 2023.
