Monster Hunter Wilds Themed DualSense And PS5 Covers Coming To Japan

4 hours ago 10

Monster Hunter Wilds is easily one of the most highly-anticipated games for 2025, and if its predecessor Monster Hunter World is any indication, it’ll also be one of the biggest games of 2025 and the next few years after that.

So it’s not a big surprise that PlayStation went ahead and designed a Monster Hunter Wilds themed DualSense controller and PS5 console covers to match.

The covers are unfortunately not very flashy or spectacular – they’re black with a small design in the corner. The DualSense on the other hand is much nicer, and sports a striking red as its base.

Whether or not you like the designs and would want to buy them though, you’re probably out of luck – unless you live in Japan. Right now it seems like these accessories are a Japan-exclusive release.

Of course there are ways of shipping them out of the country if you care to go that route, but that always comes with an extra cost.

Veteran PlayStation players will remember that back in the PS2, PS3 and even some of the PS4-era, there were a lot more limited edition console and controller designs.

The cadence of them has significantly dropped however for the PS5 generation, which seems even more bewildering since this is the first time that you won’t need to buy a whole new console again if you want the new design.

It’s nice to see that we’re getting more limited edition accessories in the Monster Hunter Wilds controller and covers, but hopefully as the generation goes on we’ll see more of these kinds of themed accessories.

Anything to help give the PS5 even a little bit of character.
