Mojang has announced that Minecraft is now officially available for the PS5, with the classic title now available to play in 4K resolution and 60 FPS.

With the release of Minecraft on PS5, those of you who own the Minecraft: Bedrock Edition for PS4 can claim the PS5 version for free. The game also supports Cross-Play with any other Minecraft: Bedrock Edition device. Here’s the full lowdown on the Bundles of Bravery drop:

The Bundles of Bravery drop not only brings bundles – an item that lets you store other items in it – to Minecraft, it also lets Bedrock players experience the thrills (and spills) of Hardcore mode for the first time! Hardcore mode is the toughest survival challenge Minecraft has to offer – where the game’s difficulty is locked to the highest setting. If that didn’t sound tricky enough, you also only have one life in Hardcore mode. ONE! And there’s no respawning. That means if you get stuck in a crowd of creepers, fall from a cliff, or let your hearts dwindle to nothing – you won’t be able to respawn. Instead, you’ll only be able to spectate your world. So make sure you stuff lots of survival tools in your bundles – and get ready for this latest challenge!
