Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 experienced some turbulence when it debuted on Xbox Series X|S last week but the team at Asobo Studio remains committed to fixing these issues in future updates.

Following 'hotfix 1' last week on 22nd November, the plan now is to deliver another patch on 2nd December which will come with "further stability improvements and other fixes". Then, on 9th December, a "third larger patch" will be delivered.

In the latest development update, the team has also mentioned how there have been some "significant issues" after porting marketplace content from Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) to the new entry. So "non-aircraft content" from the existing release is being "temporarily" deactivated:

"Recent reports from the community show that some 3rd party add-ons are causing significant issues, including preventing some users from entering the simulator. Until we identify which content is causing these issues, we will temporarily deactivate all MSFS 2020 non-aircraft content from MSFS 2024."

The patch scheduled for 9th December will also allow users to "disable/enable content" on their own, and there'll also be a "safe boot option" added to deactivate third party content in case there is a crash when booting up the simulator.

The team is also happy to report its "distribution layer capacity has been increased to handle the immense interest in the simulator and the reliability is now above 99.999%" with the "servers and services" performing as expected.

Last but not least, the team is planning to host a developer Q&A stream where it will share further updates and answer community questions and concerns.
