A trailer for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater has gone live early, revealing the game’s release date.
The trailer, which is currently visible on the PlayStation store page for the remake, shows that the game will be released on August 28. According to the page, the game will be PS5 Pro enhanced.
The trailer also confirms that the Snake vs Monkey mode from the original game will make a return in the remake.
It’s possible that the trailer was intended for Sony‘s rumored upcoming State of Play presentation.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater‘s difficulty will change based on whether players use the game’s new third-person visual perspective or the original, fixed perspective.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater’s modern perspective makes the game, which was originally released on the PlayStation 2, play more like Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, rather than the zoomed-out perspective of the original Metal Gear Solid 3 release.
Last year, VGC got the chance to play Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, Konami‘s remake of the third game.
“This is a 20-year-old game,” Okamura told VGC. “So when we decided to bring to modern platforms, we didn’t want to make it feel like an old game.
“We did refine a lot of things to make sure that for those who didn’t play the original, it still feels like a game that came out in this day and age.”
