If you ever wanted to live the glamorous life in Hyrule, you should definitely get your hands on the valuable Golden Fan. It’ll be crucial for the game’s later stages, particularly for one of the side quests.
We’ll show you how to get and use the Golden Fan in Zelda Echoes of Wisdom.
How to get Golden Fan in Zelda Echoes of Wisdom
You can get the Golden Fan by completing the Vibrant seeds level of the Mango Rush minigame. After achieving the Standard seeds, you’ll unlock this specific level, requiring you to spin around for mangoes. Exchange 10 Rupees with the Tough Mango Plant Lab merchant to begin the Vibrant seeds minigame.
To win this challenge, collect 50 or more mangoes. I recommend placing two trampoline Echoes once it begins, allowing you to reach these areas later. Be sure to also watch out for any thorns which disrupt your progress.
After you’ve collected enough mangoes, the merchants will reward you with the Zelda Echoes of Wisdom Golden Fan. The item won’t be usable quite yet, but we’ll explain when it will come into play.
How to use Golden Fan in Zelda Echoes of Wisdom
While the Golden Fan may seem like a mere accessory, it’s actually a quest item for the ‘Get Rich Quick‘ objective. To unlock this task, progress through the main storyline until you’ve achieved the ‘Still Missing’ mission. Then, you’ll need to find the Automan Engineer Dampé, who appears above Hyrule Castle. The Golden Fan will play a crucial role in this questline, so be sure to have it ready when the time comes.
Help Dampé by eliminating the enemy Crow with any Echo (flying or long-range ones work best). You’ll trigger the Automaton Engineer Dampé quest shortly after. Give him Mothula and Tektite Echoes to satisfy the objective. This task triggers a series of missions, where you’ll need to find more Echoes to fulfill his requests. That means completing Explosions Galore, Performance Artist, Endless Stomach, and Chop ’em in Two.
For a complete overview of these missions, check out our guide on how to unlock Automatons, which details the exact Echoes and items you need. However, I will say that these quests won’t be available until the mid stages of the game, so make sure you progress through the main campaign a good bit. Once those are done, it’s time to clear out the Get Rich Quick quest. You can easily knock out this task by providing Dampé the Golden Fan and the Crow.
You’ll gain the Goldfinch Automaton, a bird that can steal Rupees and help you glide through the skies. Plus, if you exchange five Monster Stones with Dampé, he’ll give you the Clockwork Bangle accessory to produce faster Automaton wind-ups. As a result, you’ll acquire a whole mess of handy allies and gear to maximize your performance in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom.
