Your choice of a display name is one of the most crucial elements of your CoD build, along with weapons and perks. Sometimes, you may want to change this title, whether because of an embarrassing decision you made in your younger days or the desire for a simple refresher.
Whatever your reason, you have the power to change your display name in Black Ops 6. Here’s how.
How do you change your display name in BO6?
You can change your display name on the Activision website or in-game. To do so in-game, go to Settings and choose ‘Account & Network’. Select ‘Activision Account’ to reach the Change Display Name page. Using the Token system, you’ll only have roughly two chances to alter your display name in BO6.
One Token lets you change your name, requiring you to restart the game after initiating the alteration. You’ll receive two of these items at the beginning of your Black Ops 6 journey. Then, you’ll get another Token after every six months. Since this feature is relatively limited, it’s best to double-check your username to get the right one for you.
You may also change your BO6 display name when logging into your Activision account via PC or mobile. Head to your Profile section and press ‘Basic Info’. Scroll down to Activision ID and change it from there. The Tokens rule still applies here, with a limit of two annual alterations. You’ll need to verify your email to access specific Activision features like this if you cannot change it.
In some cases, you may receive an automatic requirement to change your display name, as several players have encountered this occurrence. Those who get this prompt likely have an inappropriate title, so they must find a better-suited one. You won’t be able to access the game otherwise, or Activision may change the title for you.
