Listen, if you think you can do a better job than Richard Attenborough, be my guest, but managing a theme park full of unruly guests and insubordinate ten-ton reptiles is harder than it seems. Don’t believe me? Try your hand at managing your own Jurassic Park with Humble’s $20 bundle that includes both Jurassic World Evolution and its sequel, in addition to a comprehensive collection of DLC for each game. The sale lasts through Oct. 18.
The games in the Jurassic World Evolution franchise are park management simulators in the vein of Planet Zoo or Planet Coaster, just with the obvious inclusion of dinosaurs and the perils that come with trying to manage them. You’ll be responsible not only for the welfare of your reptilian tenants, but also for turning a profit by keeping your guests happy and, well, alive at the end of the day. However, other forces in the form of natural disasters and disgruntled employees will occasionally throw a wrench in your efforts.
Both games feature the voice talents of the original Jurassic Park’s leading cast, including Sam Neill, Laura Dern, BD Wong, and Jeff Goldblum. The DLC packs introduce new dinosaur species into the mix, plus new scenarios and cosmetic options.
Humble always sends a portion of each bundle sale to benefit a nonprofit — in this case, your purchase will support both Girls Who Code and the Girls Make Games Scholarship Fund, a pair of organizations that work to close the gender gap in programming, game development, and other STEM-related fields. Just remember you can always use the “Adjust Donation” drop-down menu to fine-tune how much goes to the publisher, the charity, or Humble.
