- Game Room is including another classic addition to its catalogue with Word Wright
- While it was a flagship for the Vision Pro, it also supports other iOS devices
- Enjoy a myriad of classic board games and multiplayer releases that continue to grow!
The Apple Arcade release Game Room is set to welcome another new addition to its already beefy back catalogue. In this case, it's branching out from the usual bevvy of classics with a brand-new entry in the form of Word Wright. It's available today to play via Game Room, so let's find out what Word Wright has in store!
This hidden-word puzzler promises a very beefy 20-35 words per day in hand-crafted puzzles based on selected letters. It also supports six languages, and lets you challenge friends across the globe. You'll also get three hints per day, and (naturally) it supports both the Vision Pro and other iOS devices.
Word Wright joins a myriad of other classics in Game Room's catalogue, such as Solitaire, Checkers and Sea Battle (hm, sounds familiar). While it was mainly a flagship for the Vision Pro, the included support for other devices is a major boon if you're not lucky enough to have one of Apple's high-tech headsets.
Vision defect
While there's nothing wrong with Game Room, I think it's fair to say that the Apple Vision Pro has not necessarily been the seismic shift in the AR landscape that many of us had expected. Indeed, although I was sceptical, even I was surprised to find that Apple were wrapping up production on the hotly-anticipated device.
Still, it's good to see that developer Resolution Games was in many ways ahead of the curve in this case. I've no doubt that the fact Game Room supports a myriad of iOS devices will keep it thriving for many years if fans stick with it.
Running short on great new releases to play? Well, I don't know how you'd be able to given that we've just released our latest list of the top five new mobile games to try this week!
