The Game Awards debuted an announcement trailer for the new game tie-in to the popular HBO series, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad. The mobile RPG is coming from Netmarble, and tells a new original story set during the tumultuous fourth season of the original Game of Thrones.
As the heir to House Tyre, a northern noble house, you have to forge your own path through the game of thrones and try not to lose your head, so to speak. You'll customize your heir, select from one of three classes (Sellsword, Knight, or Assassin), and try to navigate the fraught politics of Westeros, while mastering the unique combat mechanics of your chosen profession.
"We believe Game of Thrones is a world rich with untold stories and adventures, and we’re pleased to bring Westeros to life in an exciting new way for gamers," Netmarble CEO Young-sig Kwon said in the announcement.
Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is set to launch on mobile in 2025, with other platforms to be determined.
