Favourable feedback ahead of a new year release date
- FAU-G: Domination's debut at IGDC 2024 earned it high praise
- Players who went hands on for the first time singled out the Arms Race mode and performance
- FAU-G: Domination is slated for a 2025 release
You'll forgive us for the constant glut of news about the upcoming Indian-made shooter FAU-G: Domination, but in my defence, it's not as if the developers are shy about sharing the impression this upcoming multiplayer FPS has made. You may remember we mentioned that FAU-G would be available for its first public hands-on at IGDC 2024, and it seems once again that reception has been favourable.
According to developers Nazara Publishing, more than one thousand attendees had a go at FAU-G, with many praising the performance on even low-end devices. The Arms Race mode and gunplay were also singled out for praise, with only a slim margin reporting any issues with hitboxes or performance.
Alongside upcoming battle royale shooter Indus, FAU-G: Domination is one of the most anticipated upcoming releases on the cards for India's domestic development scene. For a country that dwarfs even heavyweights like China in terms of player base, the one that cracks the code for a homemade hit could be boosted into the stratosphere.
Dominating
As I said above, India is a massive market for mobile, so it's little surprise that developers trying to crack the home market are eager to build hype. Whether it's Indus and its throwback to ancient historical inspirations, or FAU-G's depiction of a near future elite Indian military force, like many foreign-made shooters there's a certain element of national pride included in all these releases.
And while it may seem only a minor concern, given the huge diversity of devices used by people all across India, it's no surprise that performance on even lower-end devices is a point of concern.
