Not available for purchase, but probably a bug
If we’re to assume Sony’s plan is to grow the Until Dawn franchise, it’s not going about it in the best way. The new PS5 remake is totally fine, but its performance is pretty pathetic – especially when you consider the original runs at 60 frames-per-second with backwards compatibility. It’s also much cheaper than the new version – or at least it was, when you could buy it.
Fans have noticed that while the original game is still listed on the PS Store, in some countries it shows the error message “not available for purchase”. Now we should stress this is currently only happening in select regions; in the US, for example, the game’s currently still for sale like normal. It’s leading us to believe this is probably an error. We’ll check with the platform holder.
