The reaction to the PS5 Pro’s announcement bordered on apocalyptic. While system architect Mark Cerny did a decent job of introducing the device, the $700/£700 price point triggered an obscene backlash. In our announcement aftermath poll, just 6.6% said they’d consider picking up a PS5 Pro beyond launch – whereas 15.7% now say they’re either saving or waiting to get the system down the line.

Some of the improvements to games like Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth have proven dramatic, and more and more software is being confirmed to support the device.
