Every Card Revealed in MTG: Final Fantasy

Now that the official Magic: The Gathering x Final Fantasy crossover set is up for preorder, Wizards of the Coast has begun to reveal some of the cards from the set ahead of its June 13, 2025 release date. Let’s take a look at every card that has been revealed so far.

All the revealed Magic: The Gathering Final Fantasy Cards

So far, 19 different Magic: The Gathering x Final Fantasy crossover cards have been revealed, with some of them having multiple designs due to their being various cards that are able to transform between multiple forms. All 16 mainline Final Fantasy games are included in the set, however, there are four receiving special treatment via Lead Commanders deck which includes Cloud from FF7, Terra from FF6, Tidus from FF10, and Y’shtola from FF14. Here are all the cards that have been revealed so far:

Ancient Copper Dragon

The Dragon of Mount Gulg, Ancient Copper Dragon.

Creature – Elder Dragon

Flying

Whenever this creature deals combat damage to a player, roll a d20. You create a number of Treasure tokens equal to the result.

Cecil, Dark Knight

Legendary Creature – Human Knight

Deathtouch

Darkness – Whenever Cecil deals damage, you lose that much life. Then if your life total is less than or equal to half your starting life total, untap Cecil and transform it.

Cloud, Ex-SOLDIER

Legendary Creature – Human Soldier Mercenary

Haste

When Cloud enters, attach up to one target Equipment you control to it.

Whenever Cloud attacks, draw a card for each equipped attacking creature you control. Then if Cloud has power 7 or greater, create two Treasure tokens.

Cloud, Planet’s Champion

Legendary Creature – Human Soldier Mercenary

During your turn, as long as Cloud is equipped, it has double strike and indestructible. (This creature deals both first-strike and regular combat damage. Damage and effects that say “destroy” don’t destroy this creature.)

Equip abilities you activate that target cloud cost 2 less to activate.

Emet-Selch, Unsundered

Legendary Creature – Elder Wizard

Vigilance

Whenever Emet-Selch enters or attacks, draw a card, then discard a card.

At the beginning of your upkeep, if there are fourteen or more cards in your graveyard, you may transform Emet-Selch.

Food

Token Artifact – Food

Sacrifice this token. You gain 3 life.

Garland, Knight of Cornelia

Legendary Creature – Human Knight

Whenever you cast a noncreature spell, surveil 1. (Look at the top card of your library. You may put it into your graveyard.)

Return this card from your graveyard to the battlefield transformed. Activate only as a sorcery.

“I, Garland, will knock you all down!”

Jumbo Cactuar

Creature – Plant

10,000 Needles – Whenever this creature attacks, it gets +9999/+0 until end of turn.

Some Cactuars live long lives and grow huge. This Jumbo Cactuar is one of them.

Sazh’s Chocobo

Creature – Bird

Landfall – Whenver a land you control enters, put a +1/+1 counter on this creature.

The chick has no name, as voicing the true identity of the animal might trigger ripples of destiny across Cocoon and cause a hurricane in Eden. Either that, or Sazh just hasn’t thought of one yet.

Sephiroth, Planet’s Heir

Legendary Creature – Human Avatar Soldier

Vigilance (Attacking doesn’t cause this creature to tap.)

When Sephiroth enters, creatures your opponents control get -2/-2 until end of turn.

Whenever a creature an opponent controls dies, put a +1/+1 counter on Sephiroth.

Sidequest: Catch a Fish

Enchantment

At the beginning of your upkeep, look at the top card of your library. If it’s an artifact or creature card, you may reveal it and put it into your hand. If you put a card into your hand this way, create a Food token and transform this enchantment.

Sin, Spira’s Punishment

Legendary Creature – Leviathan Avatar

Flying

Whenever Sin enters or attacks, exile a permanent card from your graveyard at random, then create a trapped token that’s a copy of that card. If the exiled card is a land card, repeat this process.

Stiltzkin, Moogle Merchant

Legendary Creature – Moogle

Lifelink

Target opponent gains control of another target permanent you control. If they do, you draw a card.

“How about a three-piece combo of Hi-Potion, Ether, and Phoenix Pinion for 444 Gil?”

Summon: Shiva

Enchantment Creature – Saga Elemental

(As this Saga enters and after your draw step, add a lore counter. Sacrifice after III.)

Heavenly Strike – Tap the target creature an opponent controls. Put a stun counter on it. (If a permanent with a stun counter would become untapped, remove one from it instead.)

Diamon Dust – Draw a card for each tapped creature your opponents control.

“Let us summon a sea in a new dream world.”

Terra, Herald of Hope

Legendary Creature – Human Wizard Warrior

Trance – At the beginning of combat on your turn, mill two cards. Terra gains flying until end of turn.

Whenever Terra deals combat damage to a player, you may pay 2. When you do, return target creature card with power 3 or less from your graveyard to the battlefield tapped.

Tidus, Yuna’s Guardian

Legendary Creature – Human Warrior

At the beginning of combat on your turn, you may move a counter from target creature you control onto a second target creature you control.

Cheer – Whenever one or more creatures you control with counters on them deal combat damage to a player, you may draw a card and proliferate. Do this only once each turn.

Tonberry

Creature – Salamander Horror

This creature enters tapped with a stun counter on it. (If it could become untapped, remove a stun counter from it instead.)

Chef’s Knife – During your turn, this creature has first strike and deathtouch.

Fearful monster that creep ever forward, knives poised with dealing intent.

Y’shtola, Night’s Blessed

Legendary Creature – Cat Warlock

Vigilance

At the beginning of each end step, if a player lost 4 or more life this turn, you draw a card.

Whenever you cast an noncreature spell with mana value 3 or greater, Y’shtola deals 2 damage to each opponent and you gain 2 life.

Yuriko, the Tiger’s Shadow

Legendary Creature – Human NInja

Commander ninjutsu

Whenever a Ninja you control deals combat damage to a player, reveal the top card of your library and put that card into your hand. Each opponent loses life equal to that card’s mana value.
