"Someone must extinguish thy flame. Let it be Margit the Fell!"

Elden Ring Nightreign's recent network test sessions taught players many things about FromSoftware's experimental, excellent next offering. It also reminded them of a lesson that all Elden Ring players are taught early on: Margit, The Fell Omen's hatred for the Tarnished, whose very existence is an act of rebellion against the Golden Order, is eternal, and he will defend the status quo, across dimensions if necessary.
Nightreign players were treated to the surprise of their lives as the first true boss of the base game began to ambush them in the open world, with seemingly no part of Limveld safe from his machinations. IGN notes that he comes equipped with new skills and even voice lines. PC Gamer recounts a particularly harrowing tale in which, while attempting to overcome a Godskin Noble imprisoned in an Evergaol, Margit decided to get involved, quickly snuffing out that particular trio's ambitions in a violent fashion, putting to shame FromSoftware's long line of phantom NPC invaders.
For this and more, we salute you, Margit, and dub thee King Hater.
