EA FC 25 Heroes list

Who are the EA FC 25 Heroes? As is tradition, EA has once again put on a delectable spread of soccer greats that you’ll be able to snag in Ultimate Team. This year, Heroes have two forms: an Origin form that serves as their base card, and an upgraded Prime form to signify their world-bending prowess on the pitch at the height of their powers.

Considering last year’s soccer game had the likes of Alex Scott and Tomáš Rosický among its Heroes ranks, it looks like EA FC 25 has once again pulled out all the stops. As you’ll see from the Heroes showcased, we’ve not been disappointed.

Here are the 14 confirmed new EA FC 25 Heroes:

You’ll get a day-one Origin Hero item if you pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition of the game by August 20. Additionally, this card will be upgraded to the Prime version on November 28, keeping it relevant as the season draws on.

Blaise Matuidi

Originally brought in by PSG to replace the indomitable Claude Makélélé, Blaise Matuidi was no stranger to Ligue 1. Having previously represented Saint-Étienne, the Frenchman would tie up a decade in France’s top division with the Parisian outfit, having notched up four league trophies.

Though he never won the Champions League, Matuidi did manage to stencil his name into the annals of history after winning the World Cup with France in 2018. By this point, he’d left PSG to join Juventus, where he went on to win three Serie A league titles.

Celia Šašić

Next up is Celia Šašić, a player so good she averaged over a goal-a-game for Frankfurt – the team she won the Women’s Champion League with back in 2015. With two European Championships to her name, Šašić won almost all the beautiful game’s biggest accolades.

Sporting a whopping 91 Prime rating, Šašić is the highest-rated star on this list so far, and one we can imagine will bang goals in for fun in-game as she did in real life.

Eden Hazard

While Eden Hazard’s Real Madrid career didn’t quite have the ending we all expected it would when he swapped Stamford Bridge for the Bernabéu, anyone who watches football knows how much of a phenom he was at Chelsea.

At the height of his powers, Hazard was unplayable, netting 85 times in 245 appearances for the Blues. Although it did take a move to Madrid for him to get a Champions League winners’ medal, he was never able to replicate the same prolific form he had in London.

Fara Williams

When you think of England greats, Fara Williams has to come into the conversation. Having captained the Lionesses for 172 out of 177 of her international appearances, Williams is still England’s most-capped player.

At club level, she represented several major outfits, including Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, and Liverpool. Though she never achieved international honors, her contribution to the English game goes well beyond accolades.

Guti

Anyone who got to enjoy Real Madrid’s original Galacticos era will know how much of a cheat code Guti was when it came to unlocking defenses. Madrid’s answer to Xavi, Guti should’ve gone down as one of the all-time greats, but nowadays, you won’t hear him mentioned in those sorts of conversations.

As a Madrista, Guti won La Liga five times. Even more impressive are the three Champions League winners’ medals he has to his name. Though he almost made it through his entire career as a one-club man, Guti did spend his final domestic season at Beşiktaş.

Jaap Stam

You might not have seen Jaap Stam play if you’re of a certain age, but the Dutchman has left a legacy not only thanks to his treble-winning campaign with Manchester United but more vividly for his no-nonsense approach to defending.

Widely considered one of the best defenders of all time, if Stam’s defensive attributes aren’t maxed out on his Prime card, then EA’s doing him dirty.

Jamie Carragher

Jamie Carragher isn’t only an exceptional pundit – especially when flanked by Thierry Henry and Micah Richards – but he was also an exceptional defender (when he wasn’t getting taken to task by Titi in the league).

A true one-club man, Carra made over 500 appearances for Liverpool, winning the Champions League in what was one of the most thrilling finals of all time.

Laura Georges

Though Laura Georges has been kitted out in a PSG kit for her card, it was at Lyon where she really made her mark. Having served as the club’s captain for much of her time there, Georges and Lyon won the French first division an incredible six times on the bounce, grabbing two Women’s Champions League winners’ medals en route to the remarkable accomplishment.

Georges hasn’t only left her mark on soccer on the pitch, either, as she currently serves as the secretary general of the French Football Federation.

Maicon

Maicon was a bit of a demon on the pitch in his heyday. Between his Brazilian flair, immense strength, and defensive prowess, the right-back could do it all with aplomb.

Having won Serie A four times with Inter Milan, as well as a Champions League with the Italian outfit, it’s no surprise that his cards are decorated in black and blue stripes.

Marek Hamšík

Marek Hamšík may have sported some… questionable haircuts over the years, but there’s no questioning his scoring output. A centurion at Napoli, Hamšík earned a spot in the Serie A team of the year on three different occasions. Though he only ended his career with a couple of Coppa Italias and a Turkish Süper Lig title to his name, there’s no doubting his proficiency in front of goal.

To this day, Hamšík holds the record for most all-time appearances for both Napoli and his native Slovakia (520 and 138 respectively). He’s also Slovakia’s all-time top scorer (26) – a true local legend.

Mohammed Noor

Were it not for some unfortunate financials at Al Ittihad, Mohammed Noor would’ve spent his entire career at the Saudi club. The Mecca-born midfielder still managed to make over 500 appearances for the side, striking up a tally of 62 goals over his 20-year career.

One of the most decorated Asian players of all time, Noor won the AFC Champions League twice and the Saudi Pro League seven times – not a bad career to say the least.

Tim Howard

Arguably the safest pair of hands the States has ever produced, Tim Howard held down the fort for Everton for a decade. Before signing for the Toffees, Howard grabbed himself an FA Cup, League Cup, and Community Shield with Man United. Sadly, he never picked up a trophy with Everton, but that’s how soccer goes.

The most-capped goalkeeper of all time for the USMNT, Howard was a stalwart between the sticks.

Yaya Touré

Yaya Touré isn’t a player you can forget in a hurry. Between his mastery of the midfield, audacious long efforts, and that birthday cake incident, Yaya is an eternal figure in Premier League lore.

Before winning three league titles with Manchester City, Touré got his fill of silverware at Barcelona. He left Camp Nou with two La Liga titles and a Champions League winners’ medal, among other accolades.

Zé Roberto

One of the most versatile Brazilians to ever play in Europe, Zé Roberto could often be seen alternating between the left wing-back and central midfield roles. While that’s not particularly impressive by modern standards, it gave him a real edge when he was tearing up the Bundesliga – be it with Bayer Leverkusen or later Bayern Munich.

Though Zé Roberto played over 200 games between the two Bundesliga clubs, his crowning achievement actually came during his brief spell at Real Madrid where he won the Champions League in 1998. Though he never recreated the feat with Leverkusen or Bayern, he did notch up four Bundesliga titles with the latter.
