Cyberpunk 2077 Update

Update [Mon 9th Dec 2024, 6:15pm]: CD Projekt Red community director Marcin Momot has clarified on X that this incoming update will not feature PS5 Pro support, or the addition of New Game+ (which has been a highly requested feature for years now).

As such, we're still left wondering what the team's been working on. We'll be sure to cover all the necessary details as they're revealed, so keep an eye out.

Original Story: Cyberpunk 2077 is getting a new update, if you can believe it. Developer CD Projekt Red distanced itself from the game a while back, effectively ending its long-term support of the project — but the studio's clearly been working on stuff behind the scenes.

Update 2.2 is being detailed through an official livestream, which is taking place tomorrow (the 10th December) at 4pm UK / 5pm Central Europe / 11am Eastern / 8am Pacific. It promises a look at "new features".

It's worth mentioning that tomorrow is also the fourth anniversary of Cyberpunk 2077's original release. Of course, its launch will always be remembered as nothing short of a disaster — but CDPR spent years transforming the game into something truly special (at least, in our opinion).
