Come in for a hard landing very soon
- Crashlands 2 is the sequel to the original humorous survival RPG Crashlands
- This time we've got better graphics, a new viewpoint and a whole lot more to enjoy
- Reunite with old friends, build your home and survive "celestial burnout"
One of the underrated mobile classics of the last few years is finally set to receive its sequel with a release date now announced. Crashlands 2 will come in for a bumpy landing on April 10th, bringing more humorous survival action as you return to the comfortable purple shoes of Flux Dabes.
First, what is Crashlands? Well, mix a bit of Starbound and Don't Starve into a blender and you'll have something pretty close. This isometric survival RPG sees you playing as the space trucker Flux Dabes as he returns to the planet of Woanope in an attempt to recover from a case of "celestial burnout".
As you might have guessed, things don't go to plan and before long you're once more stuck on the surface of the planet. You'll need to craft weapons and gadets, build your own home and survive a living planet that reacts to every move you make, even the stupid ones.
Starry-eyed
Crashlands 2 very much looks like a revamp of the original in terms of both graphics and gameplay. You'll have both the survival RPG elements as well as the signature huge cast of characters to meet and interact with; including many familiar faces from the first Crashlands.
Top that off with not only a living world full of flora and fauna to evade or eliminate, and a story that sets you on track to find out exactly what sent you crash landing (pun intended) to the surface this time around, but also various other features like collectible pets and you have a pretty heft package of content to enjoy.
Best of all? Crashlands 2 will not only boast cross-progression so that you can build your home-away-from-home on the go, but will also launch at the same time on all platforms! That means it doesn't matter if you're visiting boring relatives or stuck in traffic, you'll be able to continue your adventure no matter where you are in the universe!
