Yes, you can use your DualShock 4 on the PS5! If you’re going to be playing your PS4 games on the system, then you’ll definitely want to keep your DualShock 4 pads; they cannot however be used to play PS5 titles, so keep that in mind. Obviously, the DualShock 4 doesn’t feature haptic feedback and other features the DualSense is known for, but you probably already knew that!
