Activision has finally provided dates for the upcoming beta of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Early access kicks off for players who pre-order on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC on August 21st and ends on August 25th for the first weekend.
The second weekend is available to everyone, including Nintendo Switch 2 players, from August 28th to September 1st. Pre-orders for the Switch 2 version also go live on August 26th, with more details to be revealed about it in the coming weeks.
As for what it includes, you can play with and unlock 19 weapons while partaking in modes like Search and Destroy and the new Kill Block. Alternatively, you could test your movement in the Training Mobility Course, even if there’s no Omnimovement to mess with this time around. We’ll learn more about the maps on August 21st when Call of Duty NEXT returns, but as with previous betas for the franchise, there will be a “wide variety of weapons, Tacticals, Lethals, Field Upgrades, Perks, and Killstreaks.”
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 launches on October 23rd and will support PS5 Pro’s Upgraded PSSR from the get-go. Aside from early access, those who pre-order will receive advanced access to the campaign on October 16th. For more details on Kill Block, you can head here or check out the hype video below.
