Mizuki’s teambuilding requirements

There are a couple of things to keep in mind when choosing teammates for Mizuki. Firstly, she needs something to trigger Swirl with, so Pyro, Hydro, Electro, and Cryo teammates are essential. Secondly, Mizuki is unable to use Normal Attacks while in her Dreamdrifter state, so teammate abilities can’t rely on Normal Attacks to function. In general, you can mix and match teammates as you wish, as long as they deal some form of off-field Pyro, Hydro, Electro, or Cryo damage, However, a few specific characters stand out as great partners for Mizuki.

Electro-Charged Mizuki with Furina

The first notable mention is Furina, who deals significant off-field damage and buffs the entire team. Mizuki’s healing also helps to offset Furina’s health-drain mechanics. Combine Furina with Electro characters like Fischl or Yae Miko for a powerful Electro-Charged comp.

Mizuki’s Pyro teams

Xiangling (paired with Bennett) makes for a great Pyro option. Make sure to stand in Bennett’s Burst circle while casting Xiangling’s Burst, and her Pyronado will keep his buff for its entire duration. Mavuika is also a strong option. Add Furina or any other elements you desire to get some reactions going.

Non-Swirlable teammates for Mizuki

Mizuki can’t Swirl Dendro, but Emilie, Nahida, or Dendro Traveler can be interesting additions to a Burning-based team. Xilonen can help provide buffs and additional RES shred. I recommend only having one teammate with a non-Swirlable element (Anemo, Dendro, Geo) so that Mizuki can still consistently trigger Swirl with her other teammates.
