The Welcome to Rush mode in EA FC 25 has now undergone a change in Ultimate Team, and you’re no longer restricted to using cards rated 79 or lower.
Instead, you can use your flashy walkouts, Heroes, and Icons, as you can now use cards rated up to 88. But irrespective of the overall, some cards will always be better suited to the Rush mode. The items mentioned are amazing in the current in-game meta and will certainly provide you with some competitive advantages over your opponents.
Disclaimer: I have excluded Heroes and Icons as most of the good ones are very hard to pack.
Now, before you check out the list, make sure to focus on the items you have. Unlike Champions or Division Rivals, Rush isn’t a competitive mode. You’ll complete your objectives by completing matches, so don’t spend your coins on 88-rated items. But if you have a few/some of these items, make sure to use them whenever possible.
Jeremy Frimpong | 88 | Good in offense, good in defense. An expensive card that will help you stop goals, make assists, and even find the back of the net. |
Marie Antoinette Katoto | 88 | A very good striker who is fast, accurate, and offers the Power Header PS+. |
Florian Wirtz | 88 | A good midfielder is always key, and his Incisive Pass+ can be great to find your team mates with accurate passes. |
Bernardo Silva | 88 | If you want a cheaper Foden, his Manchester City teammate is the perfect solution. Do note that he doesn’t have similar speed, so it’s best not to try to outpace your markers. |
Ollie Watkins | 87 | I love his new 87-rated RTTK item, and his in-game animations are tailor made for the shorter mode. |
David Alaba | 87 | Excellent item to use who excels in offense and defense. Only Ultimate Edition owners will be able to use him, though, which is the card’s only limitation. |
Victor Osimhen | 87 | The cheapest 87-rated striker to get, who is pretty good on the meta. Unlike traditional game modes, you won’t have to bother with squad chemistry with Rush. |
Jamal Musiala | 87 | Pretty much the same reasons as why you’ll love using Florian Wirtz in the Rush mode. |
Neymar | 87 | Neymar is still the king when it comes to in-game dribbling. If you’ve been lucky enough to pack him, use it at every possibility. |
Irene Paredes | 88 | If you want to be the rock at the back, Paredes is pretty cheap, but offers decent pace among base walkouts. Here Slide Tackle+ can save you from some awful situations in defense. |
Regardless of which cards you use, always focus more on the basics. I have often encountered players who simply refuse to pass the ball and try to execute complicated skill moves. Of course, higher-rated items will allow you to bypass some of your errors, but it’s you who is playing the game at the end of the day.
I have made this list with preferences toward items that are certainly purchasable from the market. In reality, several meta items are all rated 88 and 87, but they’re extremely expensive to buy from an auction.
Additionally, always focus on the Rush objectives. The objectives offer you bonus points in EA FC 25, and they’re incredibly helpful if you’re looking to complete the weekly rewards. If you can get 70,000 Rush points, you’ll end up with a free 84+ x2 Rare Gold Players Pack and a host of other minor packs. Sometimes, focusing on the Rush goals will be more beneficial than picking the most meta card possible.
