New ways to battle are out now
- NCSoft's hit MOBA Battle Crush is getting a revamp for season 1.5
- Features a brand new character, stamina system revamp and more
- Look out for the update hitting all platforms as of the time of writing
Fans of NCSoft's hit MOBA Battle Crush will be excited to learn that season 1.5 is live, and features some major new additions! You can expect a new battle mode, a revamped stamina system and even a new character called Athena.
Athena is, of course, based on the mythological figure of the same name. This heavily-armoured Amazon can be purchased from the store using gold, and players who reached Red Tier in season 1 will receive exclusive equipment and a skin for her as well.
Meanwhile, Infinite Battle mode is a new solo format where players duke it out with eight others, with the simple goal of eliminating opponents and scoring points. But perhaps the biggest change, and one you'll either love or hate, is to the Stamina system. Now, attacking no longer consumes stamina, with only certain moves and dodging consuming the bar. A new auto-revive feature also makes the game a little bit more beginner-friendly.

Battle Crush was one of the games I first covered upon joining Pocket Gamer, and it's good to see that it's going from strength to strength. However, I almost instinctually know that the change to the Stamina system is sure to be a major sticking point for many fans. After all, it arguably removes one of the key resources needed to be managed, and I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up receiving further tweaks as a result.
