Bandai Namco has signed up to publish the debut title from Polish studio Rebel Wolves.
The Warsaw-based studio, which was co-founded in 2022 by The Witcher 3’s game and art directors, is working on the first entry in what it’s calling the Dawnwalker saga.
It’s a story-driven, fantasy, action RPG set in medieval Europe, aimed at mature audiences and built with Unreal Engine 5.
Bandai Namco will publish the game digitally and physically for PC, PS5 and Xbox.
“Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, a company known for its dedication to the role-playing genre and willingness to engage with new IPs, is a perfect match for our wolfpack,” said Rebel Wolves chief publishing officer Tomasz Tinc. “Not only does it share our values, but also its track record in publishing narrative-driven RPGs speaks for itself.”
Bandai Namco Europe VP for business development Alberto Gonzalez Lorca added: “This is another key milestone in our content development strategy for the Western market. By combining our strengths, we will deliver this first game of the studio to a worldwide audience.
“We’re excited with the universe being created by Rebel Wolves thanks to their extremely talented team of developers, resulting in a great addition to our portfolio.”
CD Projekt Red veteran Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz joined Rebel Wolves as creative director in January. He spent almost 13 years at CD Projekt, during which time he held roles including lead quest designer on The Witcher 3 and its expansions, and quest director on Cyberpunk 2077.
Prior to joining Rebel Wolves, he also spent two years working as principal narrative designer on Riot Games’ upcoming League of Legends MMO.
