Apparently Dying Light: The Beast Was Coming To Xbox One, But Not Anymore

Xbox One couldn't contain the beast.

You'll be forgiven if, like us, you'd forgotten that Dying Light: The Beast was originally scheduled to launch on Xbox One following its September 18, 2026 release on Xbox Series X|S. Forgotten or not, Techland's latest zombie romp won't be coming to Xbox One after all, following a cancellation announcement on the developer's socials

"Dying Light: The Beast was built from the ground up to take full advantage of current-generation hardware. Its open world, advanced visuals, and fluid combat and traversal all depend on processing power and memory that previous-generation consoles simply cannot provide...This was not a matter of choosing to leave those platforms behind. Rather, it reflected the technical realities of development and our commitment to delivering the best possible experience."
