Virtual Currency (VC) is the backbone of most progression in NBA 2K25. You’ll need it for MyCareer and earning cosmetics. Without it, you’re going to be at a disadvantage while playing against other players online and playing harder modes.

While you can earn currency in-game, if you want to get some quickly, you can simply buy some. Below, we’ll go over the prices of the game’s currency.

All NBA 2K25 Virtual Currency prices

How to earn VC without paying

You can earn VC in 2K25 without using real-world money by playing most other modes in the game. These methods are as follows:

Complete MyCAREER quests

Check your dailies! Complete all the tasks you can so you can get a bit of a sizeable boost in your Virtual Currency so you can then use it for more unlocks.

Watch 2KTV

There will be weekly episodes from the game’s main menu for you to watch. Sometimes you’re quizzed on all sorts of things related to basketball and other aspects of the NBA

Answering the right questions has the chance of giving you VC in the process. Before playing or if you’re burnt out from the grind, try doing this to give yourself a boost.

Locker Codes

Every now and then, there will be some Locker Codes drops for players to redeem in-game. Doing so, depending on the code, will get you some VC. Keep on the lookout for any sort of events or big updates where these may be given to players.

These are account-bound and one-time uses once redeemed.

Play the game

By simply playing the game, you can earn VC in 2K25. Playing on harder difficulties will obviously net you more, but don’t feel discouraged if you can’t up the ante just yet.
