Alien Isolation Is Officially Getting A Sequel, Confirms Creative Assembley

Creative Assembly has celebrated the 10th anniversary of Alien Isolation in the best possible way: confirming a sequel is now in the early stages of development.

Creative Director AI Hope revealed that he’s returning to lead production on Alien Isolation 2, and promised that the team would share new details on the sequel “when we’re ready.”

On the 10th anniversary, it seems only fitting to let you know that we have heard your distress calls loud and clear.Today, I’m delighted to confirm, on behalf of the team, that a sequel to Alien: Isolation is in early development. We look forward to sharing more details with you when we’re ready.

Alien Isolation was originally released in 2014 for PS4, PS3, PC, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. The game takes place 15 years after the events of the original 1979 horror classic, and follows Ellen Ripley’s daughter, Amanda, who is investigating the disappearance of her mother on the space station Sevastopol.

The survival horror title places a major emphasis on stealth as players look to avoid the alien menace on board the space station, and fans have been clamouring for a sequel for the past decade.
