Creative Assembly has posted a job listing for a Senior/Principle VFX Artists for the in-development Alien Isolation 2, which suggests the game is being powered by Unreal Engine 5 .
In the ‘Knowledge, Skill and Experience’ category, it lists “commercial experience of Unreal Engine 5” as an :’Essential’ requirement, which all but confirms the game uses Epic Games’ tech. Here’s the description of the job:
We are looking for a talented Senior/Principal VFX Artist to join our Survival Team creating effects for our new project, a sequel to Alien: Isolation. You will have the opportunity to improve your skillset alongside some of the best creatives in the industry and shape the game. A good communicator and organiser, you will be an integral part of the team, producing high quality and performant visuals.

Alien Isolation 2 was confirmed yesterday during a 10th anniversary celebration post of the original game, which was released for PS3, PS4, PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One in 2014.
