2011's 'FEAR 3' Becomes A Top-Seller On Xbox Following Major Price Cut

Ever since it was introduced back in 2015, Xbox's modern-day backwards compatibility program has proved that despite the Xbox 360 and original Xbox being so old at this point, a lot of people still want to play those games.

The latest example arrives in the form of the Xbox 360's FEAR 3, which was released back in 2011. The game scored its first ever backwards compatible discount as part of last week's sales, and it's become a top seller as a result.

As things stand, it sits in the #10 spot in the UK and #20 in the US. The chart looks a bit weird now because many of the games alongside FEAR 3 are no longer on sale, but it's toppled a lot of big hitters over the past seven days including Red Dead Redemption 2, Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered, Minecraft and many more.

The good news is that, as you can see above, FEAR 3 is still on sale for another week yet. So, if you're interested in picking up this haunting paranormal shooter that racked up a decent Metacritic score of 75 for Xbox 360 back in the day, you can still do so for the low price of just £3.19 / $4.99. Got to be worth a try, right?

We'll throw more details about FEAR 3 down below, along with some screenshots:

Fight together or die alone on a deadly mission to confront your twisted mother. Players can take on the role of Point Man, a genetically enhanced soldier with superhuman reflexes and the ability to manipulate time, or the undead spirit of his brother Paxton Fettel, a paranormal entity who possesses incredible psychic powers."
