- Ten games were pitched to us at The Very Big Indie Pitch at Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki 2024
- These games were created by studios all over the world
- They take on a bunch of different genres and themes
Pocket Gamer Connect Helsinki celebrated its 10th anniversary last week, bringing together developers from all over the world! As a part of the event, we held The Very Big Indie Pitch Mobile Edition, to feature tons of indie games.
The Very Big Indie Pitch is a fringe event that allows developers to practice their pitching skills, meet industry experts and show off their games. Many of them are unreleased, work-in-progress games that are being shown for the first time! As exciting as this is, we wanted to also share these amazing games and studios with you, so that you have something to keep an eye on.
Pocket Gamer Connect events all over the world have Very Big Indie Pitches, along with other major gaming events. The goal is to highlight more indie games and developers, something we always strive to do at PocketGamer.com.
When it comes to the pitch itself, this edition had a variety of different games, from developers who have both released many games and those working on their first. There were a ton of fantastic pitches, three winners were picked, and now you can thumb through all of the games that tried their luck at being the winner.
Want to take part yourself? Check out the Big Indie Pitch website for a list of all the upcoming pitches, and find out how you can get your game in front of our panel of judges.

Last Spartan: Glory Over Madness by BAD SpieleReturning from Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki last year, we saw Last Spartan: Glory Over Madness back at the pitch once again. This story-driven game has you trying to keep your sanity while attempting to battle against monsters from Greek mythology and Lovecraft mythos. This game featured deckbuilding elements (with the deck actually being a set of customizable dice, with each side being a different ability). It's a solid game and well worth checking out.
Last Spartan: Glory Over Madness is coming out soon.

ICE CUBE by WrapiceICE CUBE is a story-driven platformer about a piece of ice that broke off of Neptune's icy moon Triton and was thrown into space, landing on Earth. This ice cube is now tasked with healing the melting Arctic, through collecting ice cubes and meeting other friends who need the ice to survive! There are lots of different classic platformer elements within ICE CUBE, but the adorable little cube you play as, slowly shrinking when you are hurt, is the real star of this game, as they bring a lot of personality to the genre.

Majestic Farmstay by Add InspirationMajestic Farmstay is a merge-2 meets idle game, all around a farm yard! You are able to merge different objects to create new items made on a farm. Cotton can eventually be made into scarves and hats, eggs into beautiful breakfasts, for example. The board itself needs to slowly be opened up through merging and creating new objects. When it comes to the idle aspect of Majestic Farmstay, you will be feeding your farm animals who can produce some of the items you will need to merge! This combination is one we haven't seen before, which was pretty interesting in gameplay.
Majestic Farmstay aims to launch on iOS and Android in December of this year.
